    Monday's eclipse provided some a real time astronomy lesson to students across the village. Students in District 181 and in District 86 went outdoors to view the solar eclipse, which reached about 90 percent coverage here. Madison School fourth-graders Zarah Gupta, Stella Halkias, Cora Sullivan, Melissa Macri, Emmy Schreiber and Eve Goodwin found a perfect spot to watch the eclipse progress.     Emily Bugaj and the rest of the Oak School fifth-graders traveled to their sister school Drexel Elementary in Cicero on March 21. The Oak students were involved in their second year of a free book fair for the Drexel students. More than 4,000 books were donated through an Oak School community book drive that happens in January.     Even with the added expense of remodeling a new district office and adding full-day kindergarten in 2025, Community Consolidated Elementary District 181 finances are expected to remain sound over the next five years. District year-end fund balances for 2024 are projected to total $39.5 million, or 54 percent of operating expenses.     Hinsdale residens can purchase vehicle sticker and animal tags online or at village hall. Applications were mailed to previously registered Hinsdale residents in early March. Stickers and tags must be displayed by May 1, or a $25 late fee will be imposed.
