Emily Bugaj and the rest of the Oak School fifth-graders traveled to their sister school Drexel Elementary in Cicero on March 21. The Oak students were involved in their second year of a free book fair for the Drexel students. More than 4,000 books were donated through an Oak School community book drive that happens in January. Enough books - from new to lightly used - were collected to give each Drexel student six books, with plenty left over to supplement classrooms throughout the school. Oak students also visited classrooms to read to the kindergarten, first- and second-grade students. Emily was reading the book, "Miss Nelson is Missing!" to Drexel student Samantha.
