Hinsdale police released the following reports April 3.

DUI arrest

Rafael V. Garcia, 41, 4609 S. Christiana Ave., Chicago, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, operating an uninsured vehicle and transportation or possession of open alcohol by a driver at 11:18 p.m. April 1 at Garfield Avenue and 55th Street. He refused testing to determine blood-alcohol content before being charged and released to appear in court.

Hit-and-run collision

A driver backed into another vehicle at the Shell Gas Station, 210 E. Ogden Ave., and left the scene at 7:20 p.m. April 1. No damage estimate was available.

Identity thefts reported

• Someone used the credit card information of a resident of the 800 block of South Clay Street to make fraudulent purchases between March 16 and 20. The thefts were reported March 27.

• A resident of the 400 block of South Thurlow Street reported that he received a tax form for an income account that was created fraudulently using his identity on Dec. 31. He contacted police March 31.

Arrests do not constitute conviction of a crime, and individuals listed here should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
