Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Nov. 8.

Hit and run arrest

Axel D. Torres Zarate, 23, 10500 Crown Road, Franklin Park, was arrested for improper lane use and leaving the scene of an accident at 6:22 p.m. Oct. 30 at Elm Street and Ogden Avenue after the vehicle he was driving reportedly struck another vehicle and he fled the scene. The victim took a photo of suspect’s vehicle and police identified the suspect. He was cited and released to appear in court.

Domestic battery arrest

A 30-year-old Hinsdale man was arrested at 7:37 a.m. Nov. 2 for making contact of an insulting or provoking nature with a family member. He was charged and taken to DuPage County Jail.

Debit card fraud

Someone attempted to use the debit card information of a resident of the 600 block of Mills Street to make five fraudulent transactions at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 1.

Hit and run reported

A parked vehicle was struck at 7:13 p.m. Nov. 6 in the 10 block of West Hinsdale Avenue.

Identity theft incident

Bank account information belonging to a resident of the 900 block of South Bruner Street was accessed and direct deposit information changed May 21. The incident was reported Nov. 3.
