Dyan Carlson, nee Richards, 71, of Naperville died Oct. 9 2022, at Seasons Hospice Care.
She was born in 1951 to Arnold and Eleanor Carlson and raised in Kingsville, Ohio. She attended Kent State University, then moved to Akron, Ohio, after graduating and started teaching for Akron Public Schools, where she taught for 32 years before retiring in 2005.
She moved to Naperville in 2014 to be closer to her daughter, Megan (Michael) Martin, and her granddaughters, Emerson and Leighton, of Hinsdale.
Dyan also is survived by her brother, Ronald Carlson of Venice, Fla.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at Salt Creek Club, 830 N. Madison St., Hinsdale.
Family and friends also will celebrate Dyan in Ohio, and a private graveside service will be held in Kingsville.
