Muqian Huang, 73, of Hinsdale, passed away Sept. 26, 2021, with her family and friends by her side, after a brief illness. Muqian was born in 1948 in China. She was an exceptional wife and mother.

She cared deeply for her family and devoted her life to her child. She was highly skilled with sewing and knitting and proudly boasted about her daughter growing up having the best of clothes she made for her. Muqian was dedicated to learning and remained courageous after she immigrated to the United States. For about five years she commuted to Chicago every weekday to study English. She finally passed the citizenship test last year after three attempts.

Muqian was kind and supportive. She made loyal friends everywhere she went, as she was always the first to offer help. Muqian was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She especially loved her role as Nana. She will be forever loved and forever remembered.

Muqian was preceded in death by her husband, Jiazhi Li, in 2013.

She is survived by her daughter, Audrey (Ken); and two grandchildren, Claire and Clive.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, at Adolf Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St., Willowbrook.
