Tarik Ferhatbegovic was sworn in as a new officer with the Hinsdale Police Department at the Hinsdale Village Board’s Jan. 23 meeting.
Ferhatbegovic was hired in August 2023 and recently graduated from Suburban Law Enforcement Academy in Glen Ellyn. He is a recent graduate of Illinois State University, with a degree in human resource management.
A native of the western suburbs, Ferhatbegovic is fluent in several different languages, including Bosnian, German, Serbian and Croatian. Since a young age, he has had an interest in and passion for law enforcement and is looking forward to being a positive, impactful member of the community in Hinsdale.
