Susan Marie Fournier, 58, of Henderson, Nev., formerly of Hinsdale, passed away unexpectedly Nov 14, 2023.
A sociology professor, Sue loved the outdoors, especially hiking and kayaking with her friends. Sue rescued pets, including senior dogs, cats, and even a bearded dragon, providing them with a forever home until their last days. Her three dogs and two cats will miss her dearly.
Susan was the family historian and keeper of family stories and pictures. Caregiver to her late husband, Larry, she took wonderful care of him in his last years. Her spark and wit will be missed by all who knew her. Sue attended Hinsdale Central High School and Hinsdale grade schools.
Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Rosenberg; her parents, Roger and Frona Fournier; and her brother, Roy Fournier.
She is survived by her brothers, Roger, Larry and Joe Fournier; and her sisters, Mary Starykowicz, Virginia Fournier and Molly Fournier.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite animal shelter or humane society.
