Raymond P. Renehan, 84, a longtime Hinsdale resident, died Oct. 30, 2023.
A graduate of St. Barnabas School, St. Ignatius High School, and Xavier University, Ray was married to his loving wife, Mary Ruth for more than 53 years. They started their family in Chicago's Beverly area before settling in Hinsdale. He was the CEO of Stone Wheel Inc. in Willowbrook, working alongside his sons.
Ray will be missed by his family and numerous friends, especially the friendships he enjoyed at Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook and Avondale Country Club in Palm Desert, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Renehan, nee MacKinnon; and his siblings, James (Sandra), Thomas (Kathleen Waters) and Jack Renehan.
He is survived by his children, Brigit (Michael) Briody, Michael Renehan, Daniel (Julie) Renehan, Timothy (Holly) Renehan and Megan Renehan; his daughter in-law, Meghan Chott Renehan; his grandchildren, Molly (Angelo) Cavalieri, Michael, Cailin, Patrick and Meggie Briody, Kristin (Daniel Roberts) Sheff, Brehan (Kris) Linney, Haley (Riley) Gallagher, Kelly and Colleen Renehan, Sarah (John) Walsh, Will (Margot) Renehan, Caroline, Rachel, Lauren, Tommy and Matthew Renehan and Emma and Finnian Linane; his great-grandchildren, Pierce and Victor Roberts; his sister, Joan (Frank) Thompson; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale.
A Funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Saint Isaac Jogues Church, 306 W. Fourth St., Hinsdale. Interment will be private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.
