Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Aug. 15.

Two arrested with stolen vehicle

Darrell Jones-Smith, 19, 8538 S. St. Lawrence Ave, Chicago, was arrested for felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle, resisting or obstructing a police officer and driving with a suspended license at 6:35 p.m. Aug. 12 at 55th Street and County Line Road. Police also arrested Curtis Dean, 21, 8519 S. St. Lawrence Ave., Chicago, for criminal trespass to a vehicle, and resisting or obstructing a police officer. The suspects were stopped when a registration inquiry indicated their vehicle was reported stolen to Chicago police. The two fled on foot and were taken into custody with assistance from Clarendon Hills and Oak Brook police. They were charged and taken to DuPage County Jail.

DUI arrest

Jerry R. Steinborn, 64, 135 S. Park Ave., Hinsdale, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal stopping, standing or parking at 10:08 p.m. Aug. 11 in the 700 block of South Quincy Street after he was found asleep at the wheel. He was charged and released to appear in court.

Woman arrested twice

Amy E. Colomb, 56, 10S320 Jamie Lane, Willowbrook, was arrested for smoking cigarettes in a public place where prohibited at 4:01 a.m. Aug. 9 after she was observed smoking at the Hinsdale Police Department, 121 Symonds Dr. She was charged and released to appear in court. At 6 p.m. that same day, she was arrested for injury to public property after she was observed defecating on public property in the 10 block of East Hinsdale Avenue. She was again charged and released to appear in court.

Park toilet vandalized

A toilet was damaged in the mens’ restroom at Robbins Park, 303 W. Seventh St, sometime before Aug. 8.

Golf clubs stolen

Golf clubs valued at $2,000 were stolen between 2 and 5 p.m. Aug. 4 from an unlocked vehicle parked in a lot in the 100 block of East Ogden Avenue. The incident was reported Aug. 8.

Criminal trespass, theft

A known suspect who was previously served a no trespass order for Whole Foods, 500 E. Ogden Ave., was observed on surveillance video entering the business at 8:20 p.m. Aug. 12 and taking merchandise from the store without paying for it.

Identity theft incidents

• Someone used the identity of a resident of the 500 block of Highland Road to access the victim’s bank account and make fraudulent transactions on Aug. 9.

• The identity of a resident of the 10 block of Washington Circle was used to open a credit card account on July 20. The incident was reported Aug. 11.

• Someone used the identity of a resident of the 800 block of South Bodin Street in an attempt to open a credit card account on July 28. The incident was reported Aug. 10.

• The identity of a resident of the 800 block of South Stough Street was used to open a credit card account Aug. 10. The incident was reported Aug. 14.

Arrests do not constitute conviction of a crime, and individuals listed here should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
