Early settler - This photo is from Sandy Williams' book, "Images of America - Hinsdale." "Alfred Walker, looking for property to farm, arrived in the area from Vermont in 1854. He purchased 300 acres from Benjamin Fuller, including the Grand Pacific Hotel and Castle Inn.
