Marianne L. Fox, 84, a longtime Hinsdale resident, passed away peacefully June 19, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Marianne was born in Chicago in 1938, raised in Beverly and attended Longwood Academy and DePaul University. She met the love of her life, Bill, at a friend's party and they were married in 1959 at Saint Barnabas Church. Her favorite time was spent with family at Lake Geneva in Wisconsin and Stevensville and Sister's Lake in Michigan. She always had the best dance moves to Smiling Dave's music at the Abbey Springs Yacht Club.
Marianne was a person of deep faith and a devoted member of the Catholic church. She dedicated most of her time to her parish, St. Isaac Jogues in Hinsdale. She enjoyed spending time with friends practicing her faith, playing bridge and gardening.
Above all else, Marianne's legacy was her devotion to faith and family. She will be remembered for her fun spirit, kindness, grace and generosity to all who loved her.
Marianne "Foxy" is survived by her husband, William; her children, Laura (Rick) Distler, Sue (Ron) Pircon, Colette (Chuck) Kaufmann and Dan (Maia) Fox; her grandchildren, Nik (Jess) Distler, Zack Issleib, Maggie (Tim) Lydon, Maddie (Paul) Duncan, Jennifer (Dan) Foye, Eva (Mitch) Grant, Will (Caty) Fox, Michael (Aly) Pircon, Sarah (Justin) Pircon, Hannah (Trent) Kaufmann, Adam Pircon, Charlie Kaufmann and Rachel Distler; and her great-grandchildren, Landon, Harper, Harrison, Margot and Levi.
Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 22, at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 306 W. Fourth St., Hinsdale.
A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be private.
