William "Drew" Kroll, 62, of Hinsdale passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 5, 2023.
Drew was born in 1959 in La Grange and graduated from Lyons Township High School. He was a lover of beauty in all forms - music, art, flowers, and fashion. Drew made the world a more beautiful place professionally through his successful careers in hair and fashion in Chicago and London and through the endless people he touched with his generous and joyous soul. Drew loved people and they loved him. He loved to laugh, and he loved life. He was always available for anyone in need and walked with many during hard times. He was a truly unselfish person.
Drew had many passions in life, especially enjoying time with family and friends, being with his mother and family in New Buffalo, Mich., his art and music collections, attending musicals and hosting parties.
He is survived by his brothers, Brian (Elise) Kroll and Mark (David) Kroll; his nephews, Kevin, Kyle and Colin; his goddaughter, Lily Walker, along with her brother and sister, Jack and Claire; his aunts and uncles, Diane and Michael Kuzmanich and Bob and Flo Mandekich; many cousins; and his treasured friend, Richard "Otto" Pendowski.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne (Mandekich) Killian; his stepfather, Albert Killian; his father, William Kroll; his grandparents, Frances (Mandekich) Albertson and William Albertson, Mary (Shannon) Kroll and William Kroll; and his uncle, Joseph Mandekich.
Family and friends will meet for a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 9, at St John of The Cross Parish, 5005 Wolf Road, Western Springs.
