William "Bill" Raymond Sutton, 95, of Burr Ridge, formerly of Hinsdale, died Feb. 3, 2023.
Bill had a career as an executive doing mergers and acquisitions for Interlake Steel and retired in 1983. He also devoted his time to King-Bruwaert as president of the Woods Residents' organization and speaker scheduler for the Union Church Men's group. He enjoyed participating in the King-Bruwaert book club and exercise classes, playing bridge and poker, the Union Church Simple Supper, and other social activities.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Lucia Langthorn Sutton; and his parents, Raymond and Margaret Murphy.
He is survived by his children, William S. (Lynn) Sutton, Richard S. (Martha Steenstrup) Sutton and Katherine A. (Mark Murphy) Sutton; and his grandchildren, Justin and Jaime Sutton.
A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at The Union Church of Hinsdale, 137 S. Garfield Ave.
