COVID numbers inching up

The DuPage County Health Department reported 28 new cases of COVID-19 in Hinsdale over the past week, bringing the total number of cases in the DuPage County portion of Hinsdale to 4,365, compared to 4,337 last week. The Cook County Health Department no longer reports on cases specific to Hinsdale.

The number of cases per 100,000 population in DuPage was 26.9 on Dec. 20, compared to 26.7 on Dec. 13. The community level remains at medium.

District 181 reported 12 new positive cases from Dec. 14-19, including 11 students and one teacher and one staff member, for a total of 165 districtwide since school opened.

District 86 reported 10 new positive cases at Hinsdale Central Dec. 16, bringing the student total to 73 since school opened.
