Spelling bee champ - Advaith Balakrishnan delivers the correct answer during the District 181 spelling bee in February at Hinsdale Middle School. He went on to capture the district's first place spot, which gave him the opportunity to compete on the countywide level. He also won the DuPage County Bee. He will now compete at the Scripps National Bee in Washington, D.C., in May. This is the fifth consecutive year that a District 181 student will go on to nationals.
