J. Beverley Barnes, 93, of Hinsdale, died Dec. 9, 2021.
She was born in 1928, in Berwyn Nils Arvid and Myrtle (nee Landeor) Peterson.
Beverley was a devoted wife and mother and a loyal friend. She is survived by her five children, Peter (Kristine), Joan (Ken) Konyn, Steven Jr. (Dana), Mary (Donald) Cupps, and Jim (Cyndi); her 13 grandchildren, Karen, Raymond, Leah, Jenai, Maggie, Jessica, Emily, Steven III, Mary, Grant, Matt, Claire and Steven; her 29 great-grandchildren (and one on the way); her five great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Paul Peterson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven J. Barnes, and her sister, Muriel Kruse.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 17, at Elmhurst Community Funeral Home – The Ahlgrim Chapel, 567 S. Spring Rd, Elmhurst.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 18, at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S. York St., Elmhurst. Interment will be private at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
