Martha M. Patterson, 68, of Burr Ridge, formerly of Hinsdale, passed peacefully with her family at her side on Nov. 26, 2021.
Marty was born in Muncie, Ind., in 1953 to Paul H. and Muriel M. Patterson, the youngest of six children.
She attended St Lawrence Catholic School, Muncie Central High School and Ball State University, where she received her degree in accounting. She was a practicing CPA for many years.
She moved to the greater Chicago area and became an active member of the Hinsdale United Methodist Church. Marty loved the ballet and was a supporter of the Joffrey Ballet.
She is survived by her longtime companion. Ronald L. McDaniel; her two sisters, Carole Mercer and Patricia Shingeldecker; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her three siblings.
Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Dec. 2, at the Adolf Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St., Willowbrook.
A service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
