Milagros Villanueva (nee Tuason) Acosta, affectionately known as Mila, peacefully passed away Nov. 19, 2021, at the age of 88. Mila was born in Tue, Mountain Province, Philippines in 1933. She was the second oldest of nine daughters of Remegio and Monica Tuason. Mila attended Baguio School of Nursing and worked as a nurse for 50 years.
Mila met Alfredo Acosta in Chicago and the couple married in 1959. They resided in Hinsdale where they raised their three children, Noella (Wade) Brewer, Al (Joann) Acosta and Monica (Sherrine) Acosta-Peyton.
Mila was preceded in death by her parents, Monica, Remegio and Florence; her sisters, Priscilla and Remy; and her husband, Alfredo.
She is survived by her six sisters, three children and nine grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at Adolf Funeral Home & Cremation Services Ltd., 7000 S. Madison St., Willowbrook.
Family and Friends will gather for 10 a.m. Mass on Saturday, Nov. 27, at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 306 W. Fourth St., Hinsdale.
Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
