David Lee Kendall, 64, of Hinsdale, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.
David was an accomplished corporate attorney at Locke Lord, LLP for 37 years. He graduated from the University of Illinois School of Law and was a proud undergraduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor's in business administration. Outside of work, and most importantly to him, David was a loving and devoted father and husband. He loved spending his time with his family and enjoyed golfing, skiing and snowboarding with his three sons. He coached all of his sons in soccer and shared his love of English Premier League Soccer, particularly Manchester United, with them. David also liked sailing and became an "old goat" by sailing the Race to Mackinac Island 10 times. His family, and especially his sons, will always remember his dedication and love for them. David will be missed dearly by all.
He is survived by his wife, Geralyn M. Kendall, née Shallcross; his sons, Joseph, Patrick, and Colin Kendall; his sister, Patricia (Mark) Gross; his father, Edward L. Kendall; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Kendall, née O'Connor.
Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale.
A service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
