District 86 opens doors for vaccination site

Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South high schools served as COVID-19 vaccinations sites Feb. 4-6. The first groups to receive the first dose of the vaccine were Hinsdale High School District 86 employees and vendors as well as employees feeder districts, the La Grange Area Department of Special Education and essential workers in category 1b from nearby towns. This week 750 doses of the vaccine have been administered to community members age 65 and older, for a total of almost 3,000 doses administered. Employees of Osco were on hand to coordinate and administer the shots. Keti Berberi prepares a syringe with the Moderna vaccine.
