Connie Moses, 55, passed away Jan. 27, 2021, at Meadowbrook Manor in Naperville.
The daughter of Gene and Mary Harvey, Connie was born in 1965 at Hinsdale Hospital which long-time locals fondly refer to as "The San" in Hinsdale. Connie grew up in Hinsdale with her three older sisters, Cherie, Cindy and Cathy. She attended the Hinsdale Junior (Adventist) Academy, where she would meet her lifetime very best friend, Elizabeth Leben (Palfi). Connie and Elizabeth became fast friends and everything about their friendship was special. They were like sisters, through thick and thin and developed a bond that could not be broken.
Upon completing the 10th grade, Connie went on to boarding school at Broadview Academy in LaFox, where she graduated from high school. Then it was off to college at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich., where Connie met Dana Moses and fell in love.
Connie and Dana moved back to Hinsdale and were married on May 29, 1988, in the Hinsdale Seventh-day Adventist Church. In June 2002, Connie and Dana celebrated the happy arrival of twins at Hinsdale Hospital.
Connie had a love of cats and beautiful flowers and she enjoyed all types of arts and crafts. She especially looked forward to decorating for the various holidays throughout the year and absolutely could not live without her pickles and cucumbers.
If you needed a friend to talk to who was truly caring and supportive, she was that friend. Connie was a loving, dedicated, and nurturing wife and mother who will be missed every day.
She is survived by her husband, Dana; her son, Zachary Allen; her daughter, Katie May; her sisters, Cherie (Davie) Watt and Cathy (the late Steven) Slawkin; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Cindy (Algis) Ruginis.
Brian Powell Funeral Directors of Hinsdale handled the arrangements.
