From shoveling to sledding, Hinsdaleans took to the streets Sunday after a season record 12 plus inches of snow fell in the area. Henry and Hailey Wiseman and their mom took a trek from their Burns area neighborhood down to the Madison sledding hill. Ryan Pitts was quick to point out a day off of work on Sunday was going to be fun for him and his sons Will, Tate and Ben. They first shoveled their front sidewalk and then went in to fort building mode. Village crews began their work Saturday afternoon, continuing through the night in to early Sunday morning. They were back at it Sunday and on Monday night they removed most of the snow from the central business district. (Jim Slonoff photos)
