Mary Frances Navin, nee Crowe, 87, a longtime resident of Clarendon Hills, died May 15, 2020.
She was born in 1933 in Chicago to Timothy and Frances Crowe.
Mary was an executive assistant to the president of Vogue magazine before marrying and raising her family. She enjoyed travel, cooking, knitting and was noted as a “scratch” shopper by her golfer husband. She was a parishioner of Notre Dame Parish in Clarendon Hills.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Jerome Navin.
She is survived by her children, Patrick Timothy (Pamela) Navin, Daniel Michael (Kristine) Navin, Margaret Frances Osman, Michael James Navin and Kerry Marie (James) John; her grandchildren, Patrick William Navin, Connor Paul Navin, Nora Ann Navin, Ryan Daniel Navin, Sean Patrick Navin, Flynn Navin Osman, Cade Patrick Osman, Gillian Frances John and Liam David John.
Due to restrictions on public gatherings, a service at Sullivan Funeral Home in Hinsdale, Mass at Notre Dame Church in Clarendon Hills and interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside all will be private.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
