COVID-19 cases up slightly in Hinsdale

A total of 170 Hinsdale residents have confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of May 19, compared to 167 a week ago.

The DuPage County Health Department reported 160 confirmed cases in Hinsdale and the Cook County Health Department reported 10 confirmed cases in the village.

A total of 163 confirmed cases and 24 deaths are associated with ManorCare in Hinsdale, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. Those numbers include residents and staff who might not be DuPage County residents.

Amita Hinsdale Hospital had 21 confirmed COVID-19 patients and 15 patients awaiting test results on Tuesday, a spokeswoman said.

DuPage County has a total of 6,172 confirmed cases, including 314 deaths, up from 5,117 cases and 259 deaths a week ago.

A total of 1,006 cases in DuPage, including 196 deaths, are related to long-term care facilities in the county.
