Katharine "Bonne" Strauch, 94, of Hinsdale, died July 31, 2024.
Bonne is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where she studied teaching and was an active member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. She then taught the third and fourth grades. Bonne was an avid tennis player and later continued teaching as a substitute teacher in Community Consolidated Elementary District 181 in Hinsdale. She was a great advocate for children with special needs. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Strauch, in 2010. She is survived by her children, David Strauch Jr., Katharine Strauch (Bradley) Hipp; and her granddaughters, Stephanie (Peter) Lowney, Elizabeth and Abigail. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made online to Little Friends of Naperville at http://www.littlefriendsinc.org.
Sullivan Funeral Home in Hinsdale handled the arrangements.
