Diana M. McHale, nee Mitchell, 83, formerly of Hinsdale, passed away peacefully Aug. 2, 2024.
For most of her life, Diana lived in the LaGrange/Countryside area, spending the last 10 years in Homer Glen. Diana spent most of her career in retail sales, working for such companies as Montgomery Wards and The Great Indoors.
For many years, she would travel the country in the late summer and fall selling jewelry at county and state fairs.
She loved her many dogs and cats over the years and was a successful breeder of Dobermanns and poodles. She was adored by her friends and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin J. McHale; and her brother, Donald Mitchell.
She is survived by her sons, Jay (Shelley) and Jim (Sandra) McHale; her grandchildren, Hilary Bloomquist and Jacob, Madalyn, Cody, Devin and Brendan McHale; her great-grandchildren, Emmett and Dottie Bloomquist; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service is at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 8, at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale.
Entombment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
