Dagmar Bergquist, 86, a longtime Hinsdale resident, passed away peacefully Aug. 6, 2024, surrounded by her family in Downers Grove.
She carried the warmth of her Swedish homeland in her heart throughout her life.
Dagmar was a beacon of light to all who knew her, always extending a hand of friendship and a smile that could brighten the darkest days. Her life was a tapestry of the many roles she cherished - devoted mother, adored grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to many. She touched many lives with her generous spirit and unwavering compassion.
She is survived by her three children, Terri Doney and Eric Bergquist of Hinsdale and Paul Bergquist; her seven grandchildren; and her three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at Patriot Park Downers Grove at a future date.
