Members of Hinsdale's Scout Troop 10 salute during the National Anthem at the Hinsdale American Legion's Post 250 Memorial Day service Monday morning. The Scouts, along with hundreds of Hinsdaleans, gathered after the procession down Washington Street to participate in the annual service at the Memorial Building. Retired Lt. Col. Ryan Yantis was the guest speaker. Yantis is a decorated survivor of the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon. Yantis with other volunteer rescuers spent the day carrying victims on stretchers to safety.
