Community groups are invited to join in the Hinsdale Memorial Day procession for 10 a.m. Monday, May 29.
The Village of Hinsdale, supporting Hinsdale American Legion Post 250, is hosting the procession to honor those who have served and sacrificed for this country. The procession begins on Third Street near Hinsdale Middle School, then heads west to Washington Street and north on Washington to Memorial Hall, where a ceremony will take place.
Groups invited to march include veterans or veterans organizations, scouting groups, community service groups actively serving veterans, Hinsdale officials and first responders, and public school music groups.
Political entries, businesses or for-profit organizations and individuals and organizations attempting to promote themselves will not be allowed in the procession.
