While much of Hinsdale flocked to the south this week, in recent weeks the skies above the village were filled with Sandhill Cranes returning from their winter vacations in the south. The migration route each year takes them over the village as they head for northern Wisconsin, Minnesota or Nebraska. (Jim Slonoff photos)
