Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Feb. 15.

Two arrested for identity theft

Lisa M. Conroy, 42, 13913 Thomas Drive, Orland Park, and Thomas J. Hoekstra, 57, 12142 S. 68th Court, Palos Heights, were each arrested on a felony charge of aggravated identify theft (victim over 60) at 3:50 p.m. Feb. 9 at Hinsdale Bank and Trust, 25 E. First St. Police were called for a bank fraud in progress as the suspects were attempting to withdraw $4,500 from a victim’s bank account. They were charged and taken to DuPage County Jail.

Controlled substance arrest

Jorge E. Hernandez-Ruiz, 24, 1241 S. Williams St., Westmont, was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane use at 12:47 a.m. Feb. 13 on northbound Route 83 at Chicago Avenue. The suspect was in possession of a white powdery substance that field tested positive for cocaine. He was charged and taken to DuPage County Jail.

DUI arrest

Kimberly B. Lesher, 56, 415 N. Kensington Ave., LaGrange Park, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content higher than .08, improper lane use and unlawful use of electronic communication device on the roadway at 9:43 p.m. Feb. 12 in the 400 block of West Ogden Avenue. She was charged and released to appear in court.

Counterfeit bill used

A known suspect attempted to pass a counterfeit bill at Walgreens, 15 Grant Square, and then used the bill to make a purchase at Kramer Foods, 16 Grant Square, at 4:45 p.m. Feb. 7. The case is pending.

Order of protection violated

A victim in the 10 block of East Sixth Street reported that a known suspect violated an order of protection at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 7.

Check fraud

Someone intercepted a check for $525 sent from Union Church, 137 S. Garfield Ave., and cashed it at 3:19 p.m. Feb. 9.

Identify theft reported

Someone tried to open a bank account using the identity of a resident in the 10 block of West Birchwood Avenue on Feb. 5. The incident was reported Feb. 10.
