RED DEVILS BOYS BASKETBALL EXCELS

Hinsdale Central varsity boys basketball team’s 25 victories, following Tuesday’s defeat of Prospect, is the program’s most since it tallied 28 wins during the 1996-97 season, when it reached the elite eight of the state tournament.

The Red Devils are currently on a 17-game win streak and listed among the state’s best teams by ranking organizations.

WRESTLERS RISE TO THE TOP

With its win over Glenbard West Jan. 26, the Hinsdale Central varsity boys wrestling team won a West Suburban Conference Silver Division title for the first time in at least 35 years, according to head coach Jason Hayes.

“It’s a great win for the program,” Hayes commented. “I’m extremely happy for the student athletes. Many guys on the team have sacrificed to make our overall team much better.”
