Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Jan. 18.

Arrest for arson and DUI

Kenneth James Allan, 41, 5333 Woodland Ave., Western Springs, was arrested for arson, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content higher than .08, parking in the roadway and criminal damage to property after an incident at 1:57 a.m. Jan. 15 in the 400 block of 58th Place, after officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. He allegedly broke the window of a parked car, poured gasoline inside and lit the car on fire. He fled the scene but was located by officers in the neighborhood. He was charged and taken to DuPage County Jail

DUI arrest

Haley Rajeshkumar Patel, 25, 1649 S. Michigan Ave., No. 204, Villa Park was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content higher than .08 and improper lane use at 1:01 a.m. Jan. 12 at 55th and Madison streets. She was charged and released to appear in court.

Domestic battery arrest

A 30-year-old Hinsdale man was arrested for domestic battery Jan. 15 after using physical force against a family member. He was taken to Cook County Jail.

Youth arrested for disorderly conduct

A 15-year-old juvenile from Clarendon Hills was arrested for disorderly conduct at 9:52 p.m. Jan. 15 in the 700 block of South Adams Street for alarming and disturbing occupants of a residence by repeatedly pounding on the front door. He was cited and released to a parent pending court follow-up.

Suspended license arrest

Chi Wai Chan, 34, 4424 Arbor Circle, No. 6, Downers Grove, was arrested for driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle and operating a vehicle with suspended registration at 12:15 a.m. Jan. 10 in the 400 block of East Ogden Avenue. The suspect was charged and released to appear in court.

Identity theft incidents reported

• The identity of a resident of the 10 block of East Seventh Street was fraudulently used to open a checking account and credit cards on Jan. 3. The incident was reported Jan. 11.

• The identity of a resident of the 5600 block of South Oak Street was fraudulently used to obtain a government loan on July 13, 2022. The incident was reported Jan. 17.
