Neal Theodore Ayala-Johnson, 47, of Hinsdale, passed away Dec. 20, 2022.

He was born in 1975 to Arthur and Sharon Johnson.

After earning his degree from Georgetown University, he returned home to pursue his lifetime love and passion: the airline industry. He traveled to all seven continents, more than 100 countries, and worked for over half a dozen airlines. Most recently, he worked for United Airlines, where he fulfilled many roles during his career, and wished to do so for the rest of his life.

Neal's passion for traveling was rivaled only by his love for family.

He is survived by his parents; his husband, Efraín "Efry" Ayala-Johnson; his children, Gabriella "Ella" and William Ayala-Johnson; his sister, Lauren (Rahul) Johnson Sekhar; his four nieces and nephews; and his siblings-in-law, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made online to the Hinsdale Humane Society at http://www.hinsdalehumanesociety.org or Greyhounds Only at http://www.greyhoundsonly.com.
