Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Aug. 16.
• Brian C. Etten, 46, 4717 Howard Ave., Western Springs, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without taillights at 9:27 p.m. Aug. 10 at Elm and Third streets. He was charged and released to appear in court.
• Deavon D. Ingram, 25, 7225 S. Hermitage Ave., Chicago, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content above .08, speeding 35+ miles per hour over the limit, improper lane use and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at 11:44 p.m. Aug. 9 at Route 83 and 55th Street. He was charged and released to appear in court.
• Raul Acosta-Fermin, 24, 44 Sergeant Ave., Clifton, N.J., was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content above .08, speeding, improper lane use, and disobeying a traffic control signal at 2:08 a.m. Aug. 13 at 55th and Madison streets. He was charged and released to appear in court.
Domestic battery arrest
A 57-year-old Hinsdale man was arrested for domestic battery at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 13 for making contact of an insulting or provoking nature with a family member. He was charged and transported to DuPage County Jail.
Arrest for stolen vehicle
Noah T. Moore-Hodgson, 24, 150 E. Juneau Ave., Milwaukee, Wis., was arrested for felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and unauthorized possession of title registration at 12:10 a.m. Aug. 14 at Shell gas station, 210 E. Ogden Ave. after he was stopped when a registration inquiry reported the vehicle was stolen out of Fox Crossing, Wis. Fox Crossing police confirmed that it was stolen. He was charged and transported to DuPage County Jail.
Ruse burglary reported
Three unknown suspects claiming to be utility workers entered a home at 6:43 p.m. Aug. 11 in the 700 block of North Elm Street. One of the suspects stayed with the victim while two suspects went upstairs and rummaged through the master bedroom. The suspects then fled the area in a silver SUV. A list of missing items was not available.
Car stolen from gas station
A Toyota Camry was stolen between 5:55 and 5:58 p.m. Aug. 9 while it was parked outside of Shell gas station, 201 E. Ogden Ave. It had been left running unattended with the keys inside. The suspects were observed on surveillance video approaching the vehicle in a black Mitsubishi, and one was described as a black male wearing a gray hoodie and gray sweatpants.
A brick was thrown through the rear windshield of vehicle between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 11 and 5 a.m. Aug. 12 while it was parked in a driveway in the 600 block of East Hickory Street. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.
Identity theft targets direct deposit
An email account belonging to a resident of the 200 block of Bonnie Brae Road was hacked into Aug. 11 and used to give the victim’s employer alternate direct deposit information for payroll. The victim reported a loss of $7,250.
