Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Aug. 10.

DUI with child in vehicle

Ethel J. Herold, 36, 4742 S Marshfield Ave., Chicago, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, endangering the health or life of a child and making an improper turn at 9:44 p.m. Aug. 3 at York Road and Ogden Avenue. After being stopped, the suspect was observed to be under the influence of alcohol. Her 9-year-old child was in the car with her. She was charged and released to appear in court.

Order of protection violation arrest

Michael L. Gress, 38, 1125 61st St., Downers Grove, was arrested for violating an order of protection after having email communication on July 31 with a victim in violation of an active order of protection that was previously served. The incident was reported Aug. 3. The suspect was charged Aug. 4 at the Hinsdale police station, 121 Symonds Drive, and taken to DuPage County Jail.

Domestic battery arrest

A 33-year-old Chicago man was arrested for domestic battery for making contact of an insulting or provoking nature with a family member at 10:40 p.m. Aug. 7 at Shell gas station, 210 E. Ogden Ave.. He was charged and taken to DuPage County Jail.

Motorist arrested for fleeing crash

Michael A. Prusinski, 47, 151 Meadow Drive, Countryside, was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident involving damage to an attended vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 2:25 p.m. Aug. 3 in the 400 block of East 55th Street. Police responded to a property damage crash but the suspect had already fled the area. The suspect was identified with information provided by victim and a warrant was obtained. The suspect was taken into custody by Countryside police on Aug. 9. He was charged and released to appear in court after posting bond.

Revoked license arrest

Crassandra T. Cooper, 37, 2237 171st St., Hazel Crest, was arrested for driving with a revoked license and speeding at 12:13 p.m. Aug. 6 at 55th Street and Interstate 294. She was charged and released to appear in court.

DUI suspected after collision

A female motorist, stopped for disobeying a traffic signal at 2:44 a.m. Aug. 1 in the 700 block of North York Road, had damage to the front of her vehicle and debris from her vehicle was found next to a nearby parkway tree. She was observed to be under the influence of alcohol, but refused to submit to testing. Police obtained a search warrant in order to procure a blood sample. Charges are pending the lab results.

Identity theft reported

Information belonging to a resident of the 500 block of North Grant Street was used in an attempt to open a bank account between Aug. 3 and 4. No dollar loss was reported.

Gas stolen from station

Two suspects pumped $149.11 worth of gas from Shell gas station, 210 E. Ogden Ave., and fled without paying at 3:35 a.m. Aug. 7. They were driving a black Audi and a black Hyundai.
