KRAMER DRAFTED BY CHICAGO BEARS

Hinsdale’s Doug Kramer was selected by the Chicago Bears in the sixth round (No. 207 overall) of the NFL draft on Saturday. The five-year starting center for the University of Illinois earned All-Big Ten honors in each of his last three seasons. He was an All-Big Ten second team selection by the conferences coaches in 2021 after being an All-Big Ten honorable mention honoree in 2020 and 2019.

The 6-2, 305-pounder was a three-time captain for Illinois and excelled in the classroom. He was the No. 7 ranked interior offensive lineman returning to college football in 2021 and listed as the No. 7 NFL draft center prospect in the nation by Mel Kiper.

Kramer graduated from Hinsdale Central in 2016, where he was an offensive lineman for the Red Devils.
