I write to thank Hinsdale Falcon Football & Cheer and “Falcons Nation” for a wonderful fundraising celebration this past Friday night.
A special thank you to event organizers and benefactors Nadine and Bill O’Malley, Kay and Mike Sharples, Tracy and Craig Zoberis, and Stephanie and Jim Hamman. Their efforts, and the generosity of nearly 200 Falcons families and supporters, have put this outstanding 100 percent volunteer organization in a position to succeed and thrive well into the future, extending more than 50 years of providing our community with the preeminent youth tackle and cheer program in the area.
It was particularly nice to honor Falcons past and present on Friday night, including past Presidents Randy Pyle and Tom Morrone, long-time coaches Randy McGivney and Elvis Rosa, and former Falcon standout Jack Allen, as well as recognizing the over 50 coaches and Falcons Board members this season.
I am grateful to have been a part of this program for over a decade. I encourage others to make the same commitment that many have — you are certain to get back a multiple of what you put in.
