WELLNESS HOUSE GALA A SUCCESS

More than 580 guests attended Under One Sky Oct. 15, the Wellness House annual fall fundraiser, raising more than $800,000.

The one-of-a-kind evening was hosted at three different locations: Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook, Chicago Highlands Club in Westchester and Hinsdale Golf Club in Clarendon Hills.

Guests at all locations enjoyed cocktails, a seated dinner, wine auction, program, live auction and dancing.

Donations raised during Under One Sky will help fund more than 500 online and in-person programs a month, including information and education, exercise, nutrition, stress management, child and family, and support groups and counseling.

“Under One Sky was a night filled with stars. We are beyond grateful for the energy, passion, and commitment our community showed for Wellness House,” said Lisa Kolavennu, executive director. “The generosity of our guests will help make sure we continue to care for and support anyone

impacted by cancer.”

The volunteer “Luminaries” who have a history of supporting Wellness House and led the event were Angie and Wes Breton, Stephanie and Freddie Brzozowski, Lauren and Matt Houder, Debbie and Jim Hultquist, Jenna and Ken Julian, Briana and Peter Murray, Lori and Clay Naccarato and Beth Sharp.

Next year’s ball is set for Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Four Seasons in Chicago.
