Christopher John Chute, 23, of Hinsdale, died Aug. 31, 2021.

Chris was a 2016 graduate of Hinsdale Central High School and received a bachelor's in philosophy from DePauw University in May 2020. While a native of Hinsdale, he was living in Denver at the time of his death.

Chris brought immense joy to his family and many, many friends through his uncanny wit, kind mannerisms and ferocious loyalty. He loved reading both ancient and modern books, attending musical concerts and finding new adventures in faraway places. He will be missed terribly by everyone who knew his smiling face, stunning red hair and beautiful soul.

He is survived by his parents, J. Thomas and Kirsten Elizabeth Chute; his sisters, Haley A. Chute and Abigail E. Chute; his grandparents, the Rev. Kenneth and Lois Ballas and John F. and Susan M. Chute; his aunts and uncles, Maureen and Dominic Camden, Michael and Jeanette Ballas and the late Christopher J. Chute; and his cousins, Katie and Samantha Camden and Dan Ballas.

A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 64 Norfolk Ave. Clarendon Hills.

Interment is private.
