Jim Wright

Jim Wright, 57, a lifelong resident of Hinsdale, died while hiking in the mountains of North Carolina on Aug. 22, 2021.

Jim was a smart, witty, generous man who was full of life. He was a talented software architect who enjoyed solving problems and building strong teams. His passion was his family. He was always planning the next family adventure and he loved to take hiking trips with his wife and son. Jim was a fantastic father, a beloved son and brother, a crazy-fun uncle, a loyal friend and an absolute rock to anyone who leaned on him in a time of need.

He is survived by his wife, Bridget O'Hara Wright; his son, Daniel; his brothers, Kevin (Marilee) Wright and Patrick (Patricia) Wright; his sisters, Elizabeth (Paul) Grizzell and Margaret (Steve Koznarek) Wright; and many nieces and nephews and in-laws. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Brendine Wright; and his sister, Mary (Scott) Burnes.

Visitation is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at Adolf Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St., Willowbrook.

A funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 64 Norfolk Ave., Clarendon Hills.

Interment will be private at Bronswood Cemetery in Oak Brook.
