COVID-19 count up by just one this past week

One new Hinsdale resident has tested positive for COVID-19 over the past week.

The DuPage County Health Department reported one new case, and the Cook County Health Department reported no new cases.

That brings the total number of reported cases in the village to 1,830, up from 1,829 last week.

Amita Hinsdale Hospital had no confirmed COVID-19 patients and no patients awaiting test results on Wednesday, a spokesman said.

The rolling seven-day positivity rate for Region 8, which includes DuPage County, was .7 percent on Saturday, compared to .9 percent a week prior.

Illinois has administered more than 12.7 million doses of vaccines. An average of 20,182 doses are being administered daily, compared to about 43,381 last week. More than 57 percent of DuPage County residents are fully vaccinated.
