Parents sought for D181 facilities/finance, academic groups

As part of a biennial process, the Community Consolidated Elementary District 181 Board is seeking parent and community representatives to join its Finance and Facilities Committee and Academic Success Committee.

The Finance and Facilities Committee provides input on major revenues, expenses, investment practices and policies related to the management of district finances.

The Academic Success Committee, consisting of two board members, District 181 leadership and community-appointed members, discusses, reviews and provides feedback on academic programs, instruction and assessment. The goals set forth by the department of learning and ASC are directly aligned to the District 181 strategic plan.

Those selected to serve on committees must complete Open Meetings Act training and attend the meetings during their two-year term.

Interested residents can download a PDF of the application for either committee from the district website at https://www.d181.org and email it to Jean Duggan at [email protected] or mail it to her at 115 West 55th St. Clarendon Hills, IL 60514. Completed applications are due by 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 26.
