ADVENTIST GROUP DONATES FOOD

The Hinsdale Adventist Pathfinders collected 120 bags of food weighing 2,184 pounds on March 20, Global Youth Day, for the HCS Family Services food pantry.

“The community really responded and at least one-third of the bags were returned the next day,” said Heidi Vyhmeister, Pathfinder director. “This was twice the number we usually get in our annual fall collection, which we could not do last year due to the COVID precautions. We’re so grateful for all the donations and the generosity of the residents.”

The Pathfinders are youth of the Hinsdale Seventh-day Adventist Church. On the same day, younger Pathfinders did yard cleanups at the church and the Seventh-day Adventist Academy grounds.
