Chester “Casey” Marciszewski, 90, of La Grange Highlands, formerly of Hinsdale, passed away peacefully Jan. 29, 2021.

He was best known as “Casey the Painter” in and around Hinsdale for decades.

Casey was a veteran of the Korean War and a lifelong fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and White Sox. He drove around the country and Canada to attend Blackhawks games and cheer his team on. Attending one of the games of the 2005 World Series and watching the Sox become the champions was his dream come true.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, nee Hothersall; his grandson, Patrick Casey Leahy; his sister, Eugenia Gazarek; and his brothers, Stanley, Mitchell, John, Joseph and Henry.

He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Leahy and Denise; his grandson, Matthew Leahy; his friend, Mike Burke; his sister, Frances Santi; his brother, Edward; and many nieces and nephews.
