Angela “Ann” Lahey, 97, a lifelong resident of Chicagoland, passed away at her residence in Oak Brook Dec. 12, 2020.

Angela was born in Chicago in 1923.

She was the keeper of the family flame, caretaker of souls and hearts and the ultimate sounding board who reflected strengths, while soothing sorrows. She was a fierce protector, determined to have her seven children lead their best, self-reliant lives.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James J. Lahey Sr.

She is survived by her children, Catherine (the late James) Howe, William (Cheryl) Lahey, Judith (Josh) Wilkovich, Angela (Frank) Mazzacano, Carolyn (David) Bik, Christina (John) Pircon & James (Lynndah) Lahey Jr .; her 17 grandchildren; her 29 great-grandchild; and her sister, Therese Blinstrub.

Funeral services are private at Notre Dame Church in Clarendon Hills.

Interment is at Mt. Caramel Cemetery in Hillside.
