Hinsdale police released the following reports Sept. 1 and 9.

Man arrested on warrant

Anthony Q. Loving, 37, 14 Bailey Creek Drive, Tonica, was taken into custody for an arrest warrant out of LaSalle County after police responded to a report of an intoxicated subject inside the BP Gas Station, 149 E. Ogden Ave., at 3:29 a.m. Sept. 2. Loving, who was in possession of a red plastic straw containing a white powdery substance, was taken to LaSalle County Jail for warrant services. Charges are pending lab results.

Doughnut shop burglarized

Someone broke in through the rear door of Dunkin Donuts, 150 E. Ogden Ave., and took $618 between 10 p.m. Sept. 2 and 4 a.m. Sept. 3, while the business was closed.

Thieves hit parked cars

• Someone shattered the windows of two vehicles in the parking lot at Kensington School, 540 W. Ogden Ave., and took a backpack containing a wallet with a drivers license and credit card and two lunch boxes between 1 and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 1.

• Someone shattered the window of a vehicle parked at 20 E. Ogden Ave. and took a tote bag containing a binder with documents and a tape measure between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 1.

Roof, car window vandalized

• A paint/cement combination was spilled on the roof of a home in the 5800 block of South Washington Street between 8 p.m. Aug. 22 and 2 p.m. Aug. 23.

• The back window of a vehicle was broken while it was parked in the lot of Hinsdale Animal Hospital, 724 N. York Road, between 7 a.m. and 2:17 p.m. Aug. 26. Nothing was reported missing from vehicle.

Attempted fraud reported

A resident of the 400 block of Bruner Place received a call from a someone claiming to be a computer tech support representative at 1 p.m. Sept. 1. The victim logged into an online banking account while the suspect was remotely connected to the computer. After the call, the victim called the bank to alert them to the incident. No dollar loss was reported.

Hit and run reported

Someone hit a vehicle parked on North Street at Adams Street and fled the scene without leaving information between 10:12 and 12:04 p.m. Sept. 2.

Driver flees from police

Police attempted to stop a motorist for an equipment violation at 2:11 a.m. Aug. 30 at Ogden Avenue and Route 83, but the suspect fled.

Sign stolen from lawn

A political sign valued at $27 was taken from a lawn in the 200 block of East Hickory Street between 6 p.m. Sept. 5 and noon Sept. 7.
