Frank H. Klepacki

Dr. Frank H. Klepacki, D.D.S., 94, a former longtime Hinsdale resident, died May 5, 2020.

Born in Winnipeg, Canada, he was a resident of Sanibel Island, Fla., and a former longtime resident of New Buffalo, Mich.

To quote from Frank's memoirs: "We have all heard the term 'self-made person,' the term is a myth! From the moment of conception, we rely on other people. In fact we will be molded by all the persons that write on the blackboards of our mind. They are the mentors, counselors, advisors, teachers and especially our parents that create the person we become."

Frank certainly lived by these words proudly as a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

The orthodontic family flourished with his teaching, guidance and expertise, truly a God-given talent. Dr. Klepacki served on several professional boards and affiliations, including the Angle Ortho Society of Illinois, Midwest Ortho Society, Illinois Society of Orthodontics and the Millennium Society. He was elected board president at various times to all.

He enjoyed serving on several association boards, including Burr Ridge Club, Ruth Lake Woods and Riviera Association. He was also a member of St. Isabel Catholic Church, Sanibel and the Lions Club. Frank took great pride in serving the Hinsdale and surrounding communities.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosemary A. Klepacki.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Klepacki; his sons, Stephen (Joy), David (Jodi), Mark (Linda), Michael (Ellen) and Roger (Beth) Klepacki; his grandchildren, Nina (Chris), Kyle (Jayme), Douglas (Meghan), Keri (Brad), Leah (Jeff), Amy (Andy), Mark (Jessica), Brett (Megan), Katie (Troy), John, Todd and Sara (Christian); his 27 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; his stepchildren, Lisa Matz, Steve, Bob (Amy) and John (Laura) Dolan; his step-grandchildren, Tom, Peter, Matt, Stephanie, Taylor, Alex, Alyssa, Kelsey, Grace, Emma; and his seven step great-grandchildren.

Due the restrictions on public gatherings, a private family funeral will be held at St. Isaac Jogues Church in Hinsdale, followed by a private interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

A future memorial will be held in Frank's honor to celebrate his life with all of his family and friends.
