Thank and support first responders and medical staff

This has been a very stressful time for our front line first responders and medical staff.

The Hinsdale Police and Fire departments are in need of N-95 masks and Chlorox wipes. They can be dropped off at the police or fire department at 121 Symonds Drive.

A note, card or even a video offering thanks and encouragement would certainly go a long way in this difficult time. Notes can be mailed to either department at 121 Symonds Drive, Hinsdale, IL 60521.

Or send cards to Hinsdale Hospital, 120 N Oak St., 60521, and they can choose the department they want to send it to. They are all under tremendous stress and would welcome the thanks in the emergency department, pediatrics, med floor, labor and delivery, NICU, surgical floor and administration (CEO, CMO, COO, CNO).

Video thank yous can be posted on the Hinsdale Police Department Facebook page and the Hinsdale Hospital Facebook page.

If we could spread this out, this would be great. So, from now until April 10: everyone in the Oak and Elm school attendance areas

From April 11-20: Madison School area and students present and past from St. Isaac Jogues

From April 20-30: Lane and Monroe school areas

The village is also encouraging residents to display the American flag as a way creating a sense of unity and saying to each other that we will get through this.

Thank you. — Mary Ryan Buddig, Hinsdale
